Every animal is Classified for a Type when it reaches 3yrs of age, using photograph/s sent in with it's application (or 3yr adult registration).
Classification also takes into account the parents of an animal (when registered), with offspring expected to show similar characteristics to their parent/s.
Animals will be classified using photo/s submitted and allocated with a breed Type: ELF, PIXIE, MUNCHKIN or NUWBY. (see Breed types for more information).
"No Type" animals (and animals that are typed, but do not conform to the characteristics of a breed) will be eligible for Lower Grade registration but will not be eligible for Purebred in accordance with Grade System rules.
The photo must clearly show the animal meets the type characteristics for it to be allocated with one. One current PHOTO must accompany registration application. They will be printed on to the Certificate so the goat's picture must be at least 5cm wide by 5cm high and must be of good quality. Breeders may send in additional photos to help with classification. Animals may be re-classified upon application, new photos showing animal meets the characteristics of the type must be submitted. Fees may apply. Goats are not to have ribbons, sashes, garlands or any other decorations or adornments that impede the overall image of the goat. All photos must be recent. If posting printed photos, please write the goat's name on the back of them. Any application for registration that is sent in with an inappropriate photo will be returned with the appropriate incorrect paperwork fee applied. |
