Australian
Miniature Goat Shows
That
we have participated in....
...this page is still under construction....
The
STANDARD OF EXCELLENCE of the Australian Miniature
"Show Goat", is beauty, symmetry and balance,
possessing the conformation characteristics desirable
of the breeds and displaying an impeccable temperament.
The Miniature Goat is a creature of very high
intelligence, curiosity, alertness and friendliness.
Since the Breed objective is a small perfectly
balanced animal, preference in judging shall be given
to the smaller animal for its age and breed type when
all other characteristics are equal |

LAIDLEY 2008
AMGA organised and run show, supported by lots of MGBAA
Inc Breeders
LAIDLEY 2006
The first Show ever held for Australian Miniature Goats
Presentation
of animals: animals must be shown to their best possible
visual advantage in order to promote
the Australian Miniature Goat breed
as one of beauty, intelligence and of impeccable temperament.
Animals are presented for showing in well groomed
short coat, cashmere coat, sheltie coat, neatly trimmed
or clipped in accordance with ideal breed type standards.
Hooves must be neatly trimmed and well maintained.
Horns on miniature goats (Promoted as Pets) are considered
by reputable breeders to be a safety issue for both
animals and handlers, therfore horned animals are
not eligible to participate at events. |
Miniature goats have been created over many years
through careful selective breeding in an effort to
not only reduce the height of an animal, but to create
an animal that is more compact and rounder when compared
to the feral goat that many lines are based on. The
Australian miniature goat is not just a short goat,
it is a carefully bred, balanced animal, with good
conformation and terrific temperament.
