*Once you have become an MGBA
Member you can apply to register a
stud prefix, consisting of not more than
20 letters in total, to become a Registered
Miniature Goat Breeder. The Stud Prefix
is used to identify all animals bred by
the Stud and for animals registered in
the Stud name. Registered Breeder details
(as indicated on the Stud Registration
form), will be listed for public access.
*It is the responsibility of the Registering
Breeder to contact the Department of Primary
Industries and Fisheries (in your State)
to register your property with DPI&F
if you have one or more goats (or other
livestock), they will issue you with a
PIC (Property Identification
Code). You will need to list
your PIC on your application
to register your Stud for your application
to be considered.
*IDENTIFICATION
animals must carry a NLIS ear tag.
Application
to register/transfer is only accepted
when (individual animal) tag number or
tattoo allocation is listed.

TATTOO MARKS: Breeders wishing
to use TATTOO marking as a form of identification
will be required to use their 2-3 character,
AMGR recorded sequence OR DPI issued
NLIS sequence for registration purposes.
Each animal bred by you must be marked
with this together with an individual
serial number. Individual serial number
should consist of two digits specifying
year of birth followed by two digits
indicating the sequence in which the
animal was born on your stud, eg: 0803,
3rd animal born on your stud in 2008.
Green ink is recommended.
Goats
will NOT be eligible for entry into
the Registry's Stud Book if they are
not permanently marked and animals not
carrying their recorded identification
will have registration revoked.
*An AMGR Stud Registration
Application is to be filled out
and posted to the address provided along
with the correct registration
fee.

check the existing Stud names listed
in the AMGR Registered
Stud Names List.
